Joel Peterson is a painter and mixed media artist based out of Bellingham Washington. Having recently graduated from WWU, his painting style utilizes formal qualities of light and color to create unique scenes from both memory and reference. With a focus on human attachment, connection, and codependence in his work, he aims to translate his experiences and emotions into visual language to be interpreted by the viewer. Leaving the art to serve as a middleman and source of personal reflection for the viewer.
